SPDC Visit London...

Today, Magnatrix, one of Steorn's forum administrators, answered a simple question:

double-z:
Has anything been heard from them since the "demo"? (surely, just turning the lights off would have solved the problem, or illuminating it with LED lights instead...)

Magnatrix:
Yes.
The SPDC got together in London, earlier this year.
That's all that I can say about that
And the fun continues.

I got a few questions:

Was this a Steorn organized event, or just something some of the SPDC organized?

Why isn't there anyone leaking information from the SPDC?

And if your answer to the second question is the NDA, you should realize that if Steorn really has this and has been sitting on this for 4 or 5 years then @#$&%& them and their need to make money.

Because it's all about making the largest amout of money possible. (if any of what Steorn claims is true of course).

The only conceivable reason that no leaks have occurred, is that there is nothing of substance to leak.

Secrecy cannot improve credibility.

Anonymous said...

Steorn has never exhibited the slightest credibility, in my opinion, essentially from the start.

Any vestige of potential that they had was thoroughly evaporated by the incredibly incompetent absurd ridiculous silly embarrassing wasteful and simply stupid farce they staged at Kinetica almost a year ago last July.

Anonymous said...

The thing about the Kinetica farce is that they showed something that looked like a Minato wheel and/or dozens of other similar magnetic failures. How did that translate from the stop/start device they tauted (which they never showed)? And it seemed that even if that Minato wheel worked as soon as you put a load on it, it would stop. So how do you get work out of a thing like that? (assuming of course that the thing can spin freely which has never been demonstrated). Also, if it was OU it would spin out of control as the over efficiencies increased by some factor and were not tapped off. It would be like constantly applying ever increasing current to a motor without a load.

How does this Steorn circus get so much traction? Are they trying to pull the Woo over our eyes?

Magnatrix is a tease with a history of vaguely hinting that Steorn have what they claim. She is either a Steorn employee or an uber believer that makes Babcat seem rather normal.

This kind of "slip" is the nearest thing to a press release that Steorn can come up with these days.

The purpose is to show that it's business as normal in the same way that Sean had to crash his car to earn some credibility after the demo failure just to prove that he wasn't delusional after all, just an ordinary human being. How ironic.

Anonymous said...

I think it's safe to say the car crash is over and cleaned up. Nothing more to gawk at.

I object, the body is still missing!

It's over when the operation has officially been declared dead and the promised documentary gets the green light.

This Orbo thing has to be the most boring "greatest discovery" ever.

I will believe this when I see a video of the device working, and then being disassembled in front of engineers, justice of the peace, officers and highly ranked professors.

But until that happens, it's just like every other (fake) free energy device I've seen.

Anonymous said...

All those bets are closed now.

This one really is over. Time to try something new :-)

This whole thing became significantly less interesting when two things happened. Firstly Sean stopping debating with the public (the 'developers club' doesn't count). Secondly, it became apparent that Steorn was still taking investments.

They are now indistinguishable from any other perpetual motion machine scam.

"They are now indistinguishable from any other perpetual motion machine scam."

I wouldn't say so...

At least the others have a fake device to show...

I have been rereading som parts of the Steorn forum. It seems that Sean was very senistive about what Thundrabog wrote about BES (Business Expansion Schemes).
To me it looks like Steorn used a BES scheme to make the investors trust Steorn. But what did Steorn do after the BES scheme ? Are they still runnng some sort of tax schemes in cooparation with their investors or have they taken the money and left the country ?
Do you get any money from the EU when you run a BES scheme ?

Ping1400 said...

The BES-scheme (A-shares) investment origins from 26 March 2001, with a value of 61.000 Irish Pounds (77.454 Euro).

It has nothing to do with the OU activities of Steorn that did not start before 2004. The company was founded on 18 July 2000.

Together with the investment of Tom Byrne on 12 January 2001 of 100.000 Irish Pounds (126.974 Euro) it has been the only financial injection into Steorn before the OU investment rounds started few years later.

Compared with the OU investments of Euro 15.164.140 (> 15 Million Euro) the BES-scheme investment can be neglected anyway.

I think Sean was not interested to talk about the BES-scheme, just because it remembered of a less successful period of the Steorn existence (that was before the July 2007 demo!), and it would confuse the running OU story.

Anonymous said...

The BES scheme is a perfect crime:

A company and it's investors cooperate to steal tax money.

If there had been any sort of SPDC visit to London I think that Sean would have made several publicity stunts.

Just for the record. Our great hero Mark Goldes, CEO of
Magnetic Power Inc, has put down a long list of goals for 2008 :

http://www.magneticpowerinc.com/goals.html

"• A proof-of-concept of a self-sustaining, solid-state, generator.

• Resumption of the Ultraconductor wire development program at Room Temperature Superconductors Inc., MPI’s subsidiary.

• Evaluation of our energy technology by outside, independent, laboratories.

• A fuel-free room heater prototype, expected to open a path to rapid production under license.

• Self-sustaining desktop demonstration devices for the university and school market.

• A variety of toys: No batteries required!

• A 1 kW solid-state POWERGENIE generator. This will have a wide variety of potential applications. A few might be linked together to power a home. Two of these generators are expected to enable removal of the need for a plug from a plug-in hybrid car.

Other objectives may be added as resources permit"

I think MPI will deliver all their promises this year in the same way they have done in the last 20 year...

>Searching for DNS-names containing "steorn" I got this list:

So what? BTW, whatever happend to Steorn Labs? Steorn had issued a statement saying they were going into the lab testing business last year and that was the last I ever heard of it. Of course it made no sense but nonsense seems to be what Steorn does best.

Anonymous said...

Well, with names like "Ultraconductor" and "POWERGENIE" I think I will now shift my undying support to Magnetic Power (do they have a forum? YAY!). As for Steorn I hear all the guys got a heinous flu and Sean made some remedy concoction that accidentally cured the whole office. It now turns out the remedy neutralizes all viruses! A major breakthrough and new funding for "Steorn Medical" has already raised 10million euros. Someone take these guys to Vegas! Awesome!

Stoern started strong, but I am still waiting.

Project Unity also looks promising
http://gravitycontrol.org/projectunity2.html

It is open source project and the ideas are shared.

Seems the idea is strong, but they need someone with an engineering ability or help develop it.

I was reading the blog/forum and there has been interesting posts, but they seem to be missing the Proof of Principle.

As near as I can tell, there are only a couple people involved in Project Unity.

I have my doubts, as the end result has always been the same, but this one gets my hopes up.

Dr. Mike,

Do you have any info on a claim Al made at the Steorn forums.
Did Earth Tech test some kind of Orbo prototype before the failed demo?

Anonymous said...

Howdy Chili fries,

I did talk to the folks at Earth Tech while in London. They were supposed to get stuff to test, but they never did. To say they were disappointed would be an understatement.

Do anyone know where we can see web statistics for http requests to the SPDC-pages. Is there
any activity there at all ?

I firmly believe that the Steorn claim is an ongoing hoax but can anyone give a simple explanation as to how the investors benefit?

"The investors don't benefit"

S. McCarthy and R. Hatfield are investors, and they have probably made money on this OU-thing.

Ping1400 said...

R. Hatfield did not invest into Steorn (unless he is behind the Patmore Group or the Sadbury Pension). He just got some almost free board member shares (112 B-shares) and a nice, most probably very well paid, position as CFO.

S. McCarthy did not invest into Steorn (except for the initial 375 Euro founding capital for 37500 shares). He did sell some shares though with a little profit, and most probably got (gets?) a royal salary as CEO.

One could also say that they may not have invested financial resources, but instead they invested their valuable time, attention and reputation. And indeed, they made some money where others, the financial investors, lost theirs.

Anonymous said...

The investors are not making any money, but Babcat got a free beer and a trip to London.

Sean is a very lucky man. Every day he arrives at work, opens his briefcase to take comfort from the void within.

So did I!

If you take a look at the few last lines of the web pages at Steorn, you will see that they are using
www.google-analytics.com to keep track of the visitors.

Now it seems to just read the Steorn forum you need to be registered... What the hell is going on?

Anonymous said...

Now the Steorn forum is locked out for non registered users.

You can only read it if you register, but the registrations are in "auto-ban".

And the only way to obtain a membership is to follow a few steps that were posted by magnatrix in the forum (like sending an email to her to unban the new account etc etc).

Seems like a chicken and egg problem...

What is happening?

Steorn Forum finally dead?

I never had a membership there, and now you can't view the Forum without logging in.

Anyone here know if it still exists?

Can you login if you have an account?

Anonymous said...

Yes, if you have an account you can login.

humm it seems the cause of this was a bright idea by crank (one of the forum moderators)

according to her: "I closed it. I had my reasons "

and

"OK - here's an example of a problem with having a forum that can be surfed by anyone. One poster has complained that when old friends search online in order to reconnect, what they find is links to loads of posts on the Steorn forum saying things like 'so-and-so is a nut-job' 'so-and-so is a wacko' 'so-and-so is evil' etc. etc. etc. This poster has requested that I remove all those posts. I just don't have time to go back through dozens of threads to find nuggets of abuse directed at particular posters, so it's easier to stop those threads appearing on search engines altogether. "

doh!

"One poster has complained...loads of posts saying so-and-so is wacko.."

And a big thank you to Sean, for leading people into madness. Well done.

I went to the Delusional World of Steorn, but all I got was this lousy reputation

Anonymous said...

"so-and-so is a nut-job"

For those who know the name of the most famous "religious nut job" on Steorn. Try typing it in Google. How many pages before you find an association with Steorn. Looks like GH bullshitted Crank into hiding his asinine posts from the world.

Anonymous said...

Heat death. A fitting way to die for infinite energy!

Anonymous said...

Lol. Crank has done the world a favour but not for the reasons she thinks.

Websites typically have about 5 lurkers (or more) for every poster. Most of these wouldn't have accounts. These folks are now cut off from the Steorn bullcrap. The forum was the only active (sort-of) publicly-available part of Steorn left.

... and all because some poster is embarassed about some of the stupid things he said. Or... Steorn is embarassed by what's on the website.

Either way, fine job Crank. Hopefully this will help keep some naive and stupid people from learning about Steorn and parting with their cash.

Thicket
