Another Week has Passed

The week is over, and while we've got a status update on Dr. Mike's visit, we unfortunately haven't heard about any progress with crank's potential visit. This week I've missed crank's comments in the forum, let's hope she's just on holiday! I did notice that her account was active a few hours ago, so we know she's not completely MIA and hopefully next week she and Cathy C can work something out. It's not much fun tracking Steorn when there's nothing to report!

On another note, an anonymous poster suggested that I add a link to Gabbly here. Notice under the external links section that you can now visit Steorn's Forums with Gabbly Chat. I jump on every once in a while, but lately no one has been too active at least when I'm around.

Nosy was the administrator that banned Father Duke Luke and Terry Lingle.

The account had an avatar. It also had posted about 10 comments on the forums, none of which were accessible about 40 minutes after the banning.

The Nosy account no longer exists.

Cloak and dagger Sean? You used to be open about bannings. What happened?

It seems that Steorn will be doing nothing until the July Farce. They can hardly let Crank see the device now that they've put off Dr Mike.

Perhaps we can help Sean get ready for 'postponement' of the July public viewing with a list of excuses that the believers are sure to lap up.

1. The lawyers wouldn't let me. This is my personal favorite. Client/attorney privilege prevents your lawyers from disputing your claim. Any suggestion of 'legal' involvement is sure to increase your credibility in the eyes of the gullible.

2. We couldn't find a suitable location. This isn't very credible but there *are* very naive people who'll believe anything.

3. Steorn postponed the event for a much bigger and exciting public demonstration in November. This deflection is intended to distract folks with a chocolate cake instead of a blueberry muffin. Some will babble excitedly about the anticipated November event.

4. The Jury work has reached a critical stage in their validation and you don't want to compromise this work. Steorn always said that Jury validation is their main focus and everything else is secondary.

5. It might be time to subtly play the conspiracy card. Make it very low key to start off with. After all, you don't believe in conspiracies, right Sean.

6. Say almost nothing. Make it very cryptic. Something like, "July demo postponed. I'm sorry. VERY exciting developments have taken priority."

7. Say that you are in negotiations with some big companies (or countries) and that all parties have agreed to total secrecy until the negotiations are complete.

8. Show the Kinetica video again.

9. Leave the country.

No, the nosy account still exists:

Ahhh... cool. Anyone have any backups that would show the thread Nosy started and the 10 comments made?

I notice that crank has just reappeared. Apparently she has stopped posting because she is getting quoted elsewhere (i.e. here). I think this is pretty silly – I seem to remember a diatribe from her about how I wouldn’t speak to people in real life like I did on the forum etc, etc. Why did you post at all if you won’t stand by your comments?

Could it be that crank is a little worried about the fact that she was/is essentially endorsing and adding to the credibility of Steorn?

Crank posted today. She said she quit posting when she realised she was getting quoted elsewhere.

Here some more excuse ideas for Sean.

10. The dog ate the Orbo plans.

11. From all the cynicism out there, it's obvious that the world isn't ready for free energy yet, so we've decided not to show it to you.

12. Oh... did you think I meant July 2007??

13. We were all ready to show it to the public, but then there was a power failure.

14. We all know that July doesn't end until the middle of August.

15. I've recently converted to Zen Voodoo Paganism and July is a holy month where public demonstrations are not allowed.

16. The proprietor of the demonstration hall is related to Thicket. He locked the doors and took our security deposit.

17. I was concerned for my personal security. There are lots of nutters out there.

18. I took a wrong turn at Birmingham and ended up in Edinburgh.

19. Seamus's wife was having a baby that day.

20. Dr Mike's hammer turned out to be a sledgehammer.

Steorn has finally done something to make the P&L numbers on their "Investor Relations" all add up.

Figures for 2006 were removed altogether.

This wording was added below the summary table:

"Some adjustments have been made to the summary following late audit adjustments. Pending completion of the audit, the management figures for 2006 are under review."

What is notable:
For the 2004 figures the trouble appeared to be a simple failure to deduct income from expense. But the adjustment is to increase admin costs from 224,206 to 313,630.

For the 2005 figures, which seemed like a transposition error, they have changed R+D costs from 833,451 to 951,300, changed the management costs from 309,742 to 306,180 and changed the admin costs from 623,473 to 538,168.

Interesting changes for "audited" numbers.

It appears calls for an answer regarding provision of the alleged Steorn device to the jury members for testing is raising its ugly head again in the forums. Dr. Mike points out that, if he were on the jury, he would want to see the device before anything else; after all, if there is no device, then there is no reason for reviewing data, etc.

I note that Kraft is indignant and smug towards those who asked whether jury members get to see the device. Furthermore, Kraft tries to refer people to the "answer" on this question. However, Kraft's "answer" is nothing at all.

Kraft, despite your attempts to either delude yourself or trick others, we all know this question has never been answered by Sean. In fact, he has constantly side-stepped and obfuscated on this one. Your "referal" to the answer is just complete nonesense; it answers nothing. Tell your gracious leader Sean to answer it with a yes/no.

I think the most likely excuse is DrMike hit it with a hammer and it does not work now

Although I think you are jumping on conclusion, and all is not that black & white as you want it to look like, I agree on one point : somebody saying "My lawyer forbad me to do so" is lying. You can ask a legal advice to a lawyer. The Lawyer will give back an answer , with eventuel the various liability associated with all option. You can follow the advice or not. But a lawyer has no power to force you follow the advice.

So Sean should say "My tech lawyer advised me not to divulgue this info, and I take his/her advice to heart". But saying my lawyer "forbad me to say you" is downright wrong.

Mind you one can always say that he simply said that , the same way we sometimes "summarize" the truth for layman.

thicket, nosy probably only whispered to the other admins. perhaps this is the reason the comments don't show up in the search. it's possible that it's a shared account used by the admins for anonymous activities...

I have a feeling that the jury will simply quit and nothing will get published in the end.
Think of it as a premonition. ;)

If we really have an OU tech here, its in really bad and immature hands. Such techs are meant for world's benefit, not for accumulating wealth.
I mean, there is no harm if one earns by selling luxury cars or say cola etc, but using a world changing tech to become rich is simply inhuman.

Its like when everyone is in a desert and is slowly dying of thirst, and steorn comes by and says I know the source of fresh unlimited water, but I need your gold first...else...

If were the inventor, I'd have immediately released it to all for replication and if I had the means I'd have made these machines and just distributed them free to the eligibles.

I could have released it as a new tech for generating power, not as something which destroys all past physics. I mean, the world would have come to know one day.

What is the use of wealth when everyone else is suffering? Am I right?
Wealth, like conventional energy cannot be created out of nothing, and when its concentrated in the hands of a few, the rest are left with nothing....

Is this the intension of Steorn? If yes, then we are better off without their tech.

Few additions from me to Thickets great list of excuses...

21. Public demo? It's public, but only for people we choose. What did you expect?

22. The demo was held last week. Did you miss it?

23. Sabotage! Maybe drmike has something to do with this...

24. I tried to transport the device as hand luggage, but as it ticks all the time, airport safety control arrested me.

25. Too much bad karma in the air.

26. There it is! Well, all the moving parts are inside that black box, but I swear it's working!

27. Britsh Government decided to interrupt the demo and stole the device and all blueprints.

28. Oh, that big pile of batteries beside the device - they are needed just for start-up...

29. Welcome to the demo! Tickets can be obtained from the front door for €100000 each.

30. London? Yes, the demo was held at New London, USA. So YOU travelled to England??

Any others??? :-)

Lol on the financial changes. Late audit adjustments my foot. Steorn couldn't do simple arithmetic.

You picked that up some time ago, Meta.

Maybe they should check their math on the overunity measurements as well. Forgetting to add in some of the energy losses could make a difference... Lol.

Steorn certainly doesn't exude an image of competence.

I continue to like Crank. She has her ups and downs, just like the rest of us.

Sean cut out her legs when she banned Rhaomi. Sean had signalled a 'get tough with skeptics' approach by banning some of us. Crank followed Sean's lead and banned Rhaomi. Steorn overruled her and reinstated Rhaomi (which was the right thing to do). From Crank's posts, it seemed that she was 'cranky' about it.

Right now, she seems to prefer being more of a bystander than a participant. That's cool. It's probably a lot less stressful.

Has anyone stopped to ask why Steorn seems to be spending more and more money on research and development each year? They are up to over 1 mil a year at this point. Why the need for more and more money to flow into R&D if they already have a working device? Wouldn't the money be better spent on marketing? Chalk this up to another Steorn oddity in which claims and expectations are never matched by reality.

Anonymous said...

If the Jury comes out and says it does not work and Steorn agrees I guarantee that the "believers" will say that Exxon paid off Steorn or threatened to kill Sean. They will never believe it does not work.

Anonymous said...

vLan, you put it great. That's exactly what I've been trying to explain, but because of my not-so-good-English you did it way better than me!

Thanks!

"Has anyone stopped to ask why Steorn seems to be spending more and more money on research and development each year?"

Why does Toyota spend more money on R & D each year? They already have working cars.

Spending more on R&D is one of the things that actually makes sense. If they really have something, they'll be able to sell licenses on more advanced versions/configurations of their tech (more efficient, more compact, continuous motion, that sort of thing)

Suomipoika, you are welcome...
Even I don't know much English, but I guess I managed to convey my honest thoughts.

I just hope that the inventor (Mike Dali?? Is that right?) is reading this.
Even if your invention is not OU, but generates clean energy, release it for everyone's sake. Time is running out....

If you are lying, this is the most cruel lie, I've ever seen. The whole world is under the grip of pollution, war, terror, poverty due to the lack of clean and economical energy. If Steorn is taking advantage of this situation, its an enormously cruel deed and surpasses all limits of greed.

Ahh, but Toyota is in the business of selling cars. They must keep up with the competition. Steorn, through the mouth of Sauron Sean M., has said many, many times it is NOT in the business of producing energy devices and merely stumbled upon this one by chance. Furthermore, Steorn alleges that it has NO plans to produce anything, only to license its design; likewise Steorn said they do not plan on further development but will leave that to others. Finally, as Steorn has zero competition in light of the inescapable fact that no one, ever, has produced a free energy device, it should have no need to continue "developing" the device.

Given these conditions, the Toyota analogy does not fit. And, if they already had their one working device that they intended to "license", why spend more and more and more on R&D? Really, the answer is likely that they do not have the device the claim. Perhaps they thought they did, were mistaken, and are now trying to fix the thing. Good luck.
