Lights, Camera...

One of the original video feeds from Steorn's demo earlier this month has come back online, showing us big ben again. This has caused a lot of speculation here and on Steorn's forum that the second attempt at a demo may be happening soon. We'll just have to wait and see.

While we wait, Steorn has provided a nice list of articles, including the not so positive ones, on their website. I guess we'll stick with the old saying, there is no such thing as bad press.

Here's some credible perpetual motion:

So this was their plan how to get rid of the skeptic. They'll start airing new demo, and nobody remembers they promised to let a skeptic see the goods. Maybe people remember, but they forgive it, because they finally got to see the "demo".

This 007 makes me laugh tears in my eyes. My stomach hurts from laughing, there seems to be no limit how stupid people can be.

Yes they have the goods and yes they will let in the public including skeptics to see it.

You will disappear from this blog because you will be too ashamed of yourself to post here.

This gloating over skeptics being proved wrong is so ridiculous. The fact that some company has discovered the holy grail of the world's energy needs trumps all petty ego's. The whole endeavor from Steorn from day one has been to arrogantly push their agenda in front of the scientific community in a way that purposely makes it difficult for the scientific community to take them seriously.

If you have a great discovery it will stand on its own without the necessity of flaunting the way the scientific world works. I just cannot see how professional people who have a major discovery would bother with something so trivial and irrelevant. It would seem to me they have bigger fish to fry.

This is the height of hubris. Why piss on your fellow professionals? Why make it impossible for them to embrace your discovery? Why flaunt their natural hesitance to automatically accept a violation of one of the fundamental building blocks of physics if it isn't for the sake of ego? Why go out of your way to belittle and ridicule the scientific community? What can be gained from that except some self satisfaction that you have made professional people look foolish? It is like something a twelve year old would do.

You're pathetic, 007. Why were you so quiet after the failed demo? Because you were so embarrassed.

You had your chance to keep your mouth shut, but you didn't. Now you'll just have to suffer the next embarrasment when all this fails.

Some people never learn.

"Yes they have the goods and yes they will let in the public including skeptics to see it."

Perhaps you forgot-- it's been almost a year since the spectacular claims began. And nobody who's credible has reported seeing ANYTHING? Doesn't that speak to you? Apparently not.

@anonymous about gloating:

You're quite right but it's even simpler. All Steorn would have to do to become credible would be to produce ANY DEVICE that supports ANY of their major claims and allow it to be tested. Their other claim, that nobody wants to test their stuff, is now obviously pure nonsense. The only reasonable explanation of why they have not produced such a device is that they don't have one and never had one.

Would they start up the cameras if they did not plan on holding the second demo within days if not hours?

Would they hold the second demo if they did not have the goods?

Steorn is just about ready to produce all the evidence that you do not want to see because it will create so much cognitive dissonance in you that you will be on a diet of tranquilizers for the next six months.

"Would they start up the cameras if they did not plan on holding the second demo within days if not hours?"

Who knows what those morons are going to do next? I still remember that they recklessly wasted the valuable time, effort, money and energy of hundreds of scientists and engineers with the Kinetica fiasco. That was only a couple of weeks ago or so or have you forgotten so soon?

"Would they hold the second demo if they did not have the goods?"

There are two answers to that. First, the online feeds don't necessarily mean that there will be an online demo. Second, an online demo of some rotating gizmo is absolutely meaningless without reputable scientists and engineers being around to take it apart and check for fraud. And there's NOTHING to suggest Steorn wants to do that-- if they did, their opportunity was at Kinetica and they scrozzled it.

"Steorn is just about ready to produce all the evidence that you do not want to see because it will create so much cognitive dissonance in you that you will be on a diet of tranquilizers for the next six months."

That is perhaps the dumbest thing I've read in the last month and that makes it quite an accomplishment to have written.

Get this through your skull: NOBODY wants free energy more than so-called skeptics. EVERYONE would applaud, acclaim and reward the discovery of free energy. There is NO CONSPIRACY to suppress it. The problem is not with the skeptics. It's with those who make claims without evidence. You know, like Steorn has been doing for about a year or more.

That is the pure bullshit and can only come from someone who has an axe to grind with scientists. If anything a panoply of evidence done in a professional manner would have the exact opposite effect with sincere interest and amazement coming from the highest levels of science.

Scientists are NOT the Catholic Church. They are not the ones who historically have prevented great discoveries from seeing the light of day because it flies in the face of dogma. They are people who thrive on the empirical approach and the first ones to get excited about new frontiers of science opening up. They are the first ones to hypothesize the impossible to push the envelope and keep their profession in the vanguard.

Am I missing something here? Someone turns on a webcam showing a hazy picture of Big Ben and then the believers begin a sea of hysteria threatening the skeptics with shame and oblivion? Last I checked, Steorn has made no annoucement regarding any further demos and the webcam just shows Big Ben; BIG F'ING BEN and nothing else! How do you go from Big Ben to all skeptics everywhere will be eating crow? 007 and his likes are completely out of their minds.

The last data point available for evaluation purposes was the Steorn Kinetica Demo. It was a complete FAILURE! There was no OU, no PPM, no nothing except disgrace and cancellation. If anyone should be hiding in shame, it is the blind believers.

What's with conspiracy to suppress??
We are talking about here that superskeptics are so ridgid that they cannot get their minds around steron's claims so if steorn comes out with the demo which they will the superskeptics will take to their beds with tranquilizers because the truth is too painful for them to let into their conscious minds. they are people who cannot face a reality they do not like. simple as that.

"[there] are people who cannot face a reality they do not like. simple as that."

Wow! We agree on something. Except the people I am thinking of are the ones who believe that Steorn has said or shown anything interesting or worthwhile or ever will.

BTW, what the f*ck is a "superskeptic"? They wear capes? Can they fly? Do they see through steel? Can they leap over buildings at a single bound?

I'll tell you what is it. It is a guy, or a girl, Mary, who cannot see overunity when it is in front of hir face!

More bullshit. This is some believer's wet dream. I think you are confusing a skeptic with a cynic. Perhaps there are still people walking around who do not believe that human beings have figured out to fly, or put a man on the moon. I doubt they have strength in numbers and sound more like Ted Kaszinsky types.

No one has the goods on Steorn to make an accusation like that except it is coming from their own personal bias, prejudice and stupidity. I have heard similar things for the last year coming from the lunatic fringe and frankly it is beyond the pale in terms of "reality."

Anonymous said...

Here is an analogy to show the difference between a skeptic and a cynic. If upon winning the lottery a skeptic will be somewhat reluctant to believe it is true until affirmation has be done. A cynic on the other will refuse to take the money regardless of how much proof is presented to them that they have won.

OK-- I'll bite. Where is overunity in front of anyone's face? The only thing I can see on Sean's face at the moment is egg.

Oh really? How could someone's opinion stop the inevitable if it is real? And what difference would it make except make the person look irrelevant?

No one has been presented OU to their face so how is it that you can make such a statement? If they have please cite examples of when and where this was done. Otherwise, report back to your holding cell, someone is missing an inmate.

This just looks like its astreams default web cam for london. If you click below http://cms.astream.net/index.php?module=ContentExpress&file=index&func=display&ceid=43&meid=43 and then click on the london web cam you get the same image.

key point about believers: They aren't educated worth a damn. Name a believer and i will show you a high swchool dropout with nothing to show for his life

Well, I learned something new:

scrozzle: /skrozl/, vt.

Used when a self-modifying code segment runs incorrectly and corrupts the running program or vital data. “The damn compiler scrozzled itself again!”

Thanks Mary!

Only a small number of the articles at the Steorn site are negative. They just reflect the real "Steorn news" out there... There is not a lot of positive news...

The video streaming time was probably prepaid and their account is still ready to be used. You can "dream" they will show something, but it is just a placeholder now.

I suspect they were going to at least show the Orbo running in their lab. Sort of as a teaser to another public demo. It would be with their teams of engineers and buss loads of Ph.Ds baby sitting it this time. However, they still can't get it to work! Bwahahahahaa!!

My fake OerBlow has been running for 8 days now...

Fake Orbo

It can beat anything Steorn can put on a webcam. I would just need to use some 0.005 inch wire to hide the batteries a bit. I have a webcam thing around here somewhere...

OK-- I'll bite. Where is overunity in front of anyone's face? The only thing I can see on Sean's face at the moment is egg.

It is when you watch the monitor and see Steorn's demo which is going to start in days or maybe even hours and you see the wheel lifting up a billiard ball or something and it does it forever.

When you see that and you will see that very soon you will run screaming to your medicine cabinet to start with the tranquilizers.

And you will probably wash them down with cheap whisky which is going to give you a bad hangover. You cannot face Steorn reality you should drink good quality vodka.

But is better you face Steorn reality.

"Steorn is just about ready to produce all the evidence that you do not want to see because it will create so much cognitive dissonance in you that you will be on a diet of tranquilizers for the next six months."

What Steorn is about to do, assuming that they are about to do anything, but, specifically, streaming a webcam of something that goes roundy round is attempt to wipe the runny egg off the face of their credibility. No matter what they show on the streaming video nor for how long they show it will it be evidence of anything but a streaming vdeo of "something".

Tranquilizers? Holy crap, pal. You better check your red face in the mirror and grab your blood pressure pills and anti-psychotic med's. The only person around here who seems to be psychologically or emotionally involved is you.

And only you will care who said what or think that it will somehow be importatnt in the face of "proof" someday. So while the world rejoices you will be angrily shouting, "I told you so"?

It is you who is in the position of feeling badly about your "beliefs" and documented (albeit anonymous) words right now. Nobody else cares.

If and when I can buy a laptop that never needs re-charging I will rejoice. Otherwise...? Whatever. It's just anopther soap opera with really bad writing and will be until I can buy that lappie.

I really wonder why there are still believers left. The fake OU device that was shown in the Kinetica video, aka 'kinetica-toy', illustrates Steorns intentions in a very clear way.

What intentions did it illustrate and how?

"It is when you watch the monitor and see Steorn's demo which is going to start in days or maybe even hours and you see the wheel lifting up a billiard ball or something and it does it forever."

I like how you jumped from skeptics not believing a fait accompli right in front of their face to "well, it could happen." Have you no sense of cause and effect or is everything just a big spatial-temporal jumble in your brain?

Like someone said earlier, this is a wet dream and just because you get off on it does not mean the rest of the world will until such time as this thing sees the light of day. If ever.

Let me say this so you can understand if that is possible. Being skeptical does not mean anything other than put up or shut up. Afterwards, how skeptics act is irrelevant and only the staunchest Neanderthal would refuse to accept the truth if such turns out to be the case.

It is almost like you wish for OU to be true only to settle some score you have with somebody and then gloat over them. This is called schadenfreude and is really, really stupid.

That "K-toy" video and Sean McCarthy's original description and then later disclaimer of not really being involved with or aware of the specifics of it when folks pointed out that his description of just what was happening was flat wrong and then recanting his original description/story was really bad.

"Oh, well, I didn't really know about all that" ...etc.

Um ... OK. Right.

THEN ... the basic irrelevance of the entire deal no matter what is under the epoxy.

Saying it is OU is like saying SMOT is OU.

Puh-lease.

it seems strange to me that no one has suggested that astream is simply just advertising since people are still clicking the links.

This has to be one of the silliest days yet, and that's saying something. It's all a mystery and just more nonsense has been forthcoming. I'm a patient guy and I'm getting tired of the BS and "non-performance" to the established goals. I guess it's just around the corner according to the "camera dream team". I'm waiting.
